Asus Transformer with the keyboard dock. Gives you micro SD, SD, HDMI and 2 x USB.
Very robust and when docked, it closes like a laptop so is very solid for travel. I think they're on the third version now, so you might find a decently priced used one. Keyboard has an extra battery, so it's about 20 hours run time between charges. It'll stay on in standby (Powered on, but screen off) for days...

I'm waiting to see what windows8 pro tablets come to the market comming months, if there is a good candidate in those i figure that i could run apps like garmin so they would be a big help on the road

I'm thinking about buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. They're going for about $170 for a refurbished model or $200 for a new one (both with 1 yr warranties). I have a behemoth of a laptop (17") that really takes up gobs of room in my luggage. I figure with a tablet and a foldable bluetooth keyboard it'll take up a fraction of the room, but have all the capabilities that I need on the road.
