perhaps you can provide me some riding lessons since you feel that my DR650 is trail worthy without seeing it.

As I understand it there are 3 rides. woods for the trail bikes, BB DS for the DR650's and Street for the big bikes. I am only interested in going where MY bikes and skill level will take me.

By the way, I rode my DR650 in the Sandy Lane Enduro ( DS class) so I think it will suffice for the dirt road ride but not an easy bike in the stick farms and rocky uphills.

With the rain they are predicting how high will the creek get?
Do I need an anchor for my air mattress?

Haha. Good one. Now who's filling up a diaper worrying about the Off Road ride? Absofuckinglutely a DR650 is too big a bike for the off road ride unless by chance your last name is Lafferty's or something? I'm sure Steve will take it easy on them this year. What 2 yrs ago we went 9miles in 4hours if that gives you any indication of the terrain we cover in this ride. This year with David leading the DS ride a Dr650 would be the perfect weapon to keep up with his Big KTM

Some 2010 highlights from the rally. If you can't make it up the approach hill around 1:30 in the video there's no reason to continue with the off road ride. You'll just hate yourself and everyone else around you for thinking you should have gone on the DS ride and are stuck here now.

@ mrxinpa

Now that my diaper is changed with a clean one, I'm thinking I'll just do the Ice Cream road runs. Or does that trip have too many pot holes? LOL

I'm all over anything that involves ice cream. I'll even shuttle an extra inmate in the luxury of the barcolounger equiped side car.

KLR brreakdown

KLR is inop - waiting for parts.
Looks like I'll be riding the K1200 IF I can get a new front tire mounted today.
Will the K bike be agile enough for the trail ride? I have TK80's mounted.

Dave2, bring the K bike even if it makes a questionable dual sport. 3" of ground clearance is ok for groomed gravel but no way to thread this bitch through the trees.

She is wider than my wife's X3. Almost color matched too!

What parts you waiting for? I have two KLRs and have a collection of spares "just in case".
