Shouldn't this still be a concern once the HES is fixed. You don't want to yoyo back and forth with the same problems.

The tank was cleaned out fairly well and a new pre-screen, pump and filter has been installed.

I received a phone call from a Spanish speaking only parts person from the shop. Directions were given in Spanish for a particular method to send authorization to charge my Debit Card. I have sent an authorization, whether or no it meets their criteria, I have no idea!

I sent two different letters of authorization to Guatemala BMW yesterday along with copies of my Debit Card and Driver's License. Now, I am hoping they will send my parts!

Would you believe after all of this my bank would not accept the charge! I have used the card in ATMs many times on this trip for amounts equal to the parts cost! WOW!!! BMW Guatemala says it is easier with credit cards so I have sent them that info. Hopefully it will be accepted!

Donnie-

You may want to call your credit card company to warn them about the charge, so they don't deny it. Common sense and banks don't go together, but their anti-fraud system may be throwing flags, even though you've been down there a bit.

My parts are supposed to be here today.

The lesson learned in the last couple of days is that it may be better to use your credit card to make purchases out of the country. I don't know if it would have made any difference had I been at the store to make the purchase with the Debit Card. However, I always use my Debit Card at ATMs with no problem.
