Melbourne Toolangi Forest ride report

Hey Guys, just thought that I’d give you a report of the sessions we had on Sat and Sun.
Saturdays ride went through Toolangi, and was really just an easy going, exploring session.
Thanks Avi and Brendon – looking forward to riding with you guys again soon.
PS
Anyone who is ever stuck with a puncture, if you have Avi in your ride group, is the man that you need to rope in to repair it…..:)
Now on to Sunday’s session – wow, this was a few notches up from Saturday. For the trail bike riders out there, on a scale of 1 to 10, I give a section of this ride a 7, and of course for all us adv-riders, I give this section a 10!
Overall, the ride was spectacular – thanks Matty (Tomak) for leading this one, great scenery, and certainly enough technical stuff for everyone – I now absolutely know that my bike can do anything I ask it to!
Thanks to Daniel (hope you ok this morning Mate), Andrew (EioEio), Luke, Adrian, and of course Matty for joining us – hoping to see you guys on the next one.
In summary, I would say that this ride is geared more towards an intermediate to advanced level of rider, and if anyone out there is keen on this kind of ride through Warbuton, Noobathong, and Marysville, then Matty (Tomak) is absolutely the man you want to be making contact with.
Thanks again to all.
Ian.

Yeah Asi is the man; would have made a nice you Youtube how-to. I'm definitely getting one of those mini compressors, and maybe carry a pair of full size tire spoons instead of the trail versions.

Parkcomm screwed with this post 02-11-2013 at 12:58 AM Reason: spleling

Should also add than on Saturday a very close call with a big wallaby (or small roo, it was a least a metre tall).

Luckily the little guy knew how to pick a gap beteen Ian and Asi.
Unluckily I don't have a GoPro to show you all how close it was.

Hey guys,
Had a great time yesterday, was glad to finally get the strom dirty.
It's already been cleaned and polished though(I have a lot of spare time).

Sorry to bail at Narbethong, but that rocky road had my teeth banging together and my eyes shaking in their sockets.
I will be more comfortable standing on the pegs once my knee is fixed, then rough roads won't be a problem.
Must get some tyres with knobs though.

Luke and myself went home on the Black Spur,we saw the whollopers on the side of the road but didn't see the ones on the hill dressed in camouflage hiding behind the camouflage netting with the radar gun. Didn't matter anyway as we were caught behind a line of cagers that were travelling as cagers do...slowly, so no drama.

Thanks for organising the ride Ian.

Cheers, Andy.
