Yeah, SHOT in Valentine was cool. I just don't want to have the total lack of resources, as the event organizer, that we had out there. Too much pressure! The farm works perfect. House, garage, town 3mi away, and the riding is still fun. Plus, free camping.

I would love to have another event out in Valentine, but if I am "organizing" it, it's gonna be a self sufficient sorta thing. Hauling enough food for everyone, was a real PITA! Hell, we had Jeff's trailer full of bikes and stuff, as well as my truck, packed full of coolers and food. Being out along the river is a really good time though. Early summer, in a few years, I will maybe get something going....but don't let that stop any of you from organizing your own event, wherever you think would be cool. Like AGspecialties and the Ride The Hills. That's a damn good time!!!
I hope I can make it up there again this fall....seems iffy for me right now. I'm working my magic to get out of the house this summer for a little riding trip in some mountains. Time will tell.

Just flipping you some shit, Kurt. You do a great job with this. Don't know if I'll be able to make it up for a night or not. Always a good time.

Well, at least you don't have plans to be in the PNW this year. I figure if you are within 1000mi of it, we can plan on seeing you for at least ONE night.

Who needs a new bike to ride at Fifth Fest?

I found this gem on craigslist. No pic, and I have no other info, but it's basically a brand new XR.

I need a trail bike to but would also like some that I could mess around with at the MX track and maybe race in the vet class. I havent ruled out a 450 but would prefer a 250. Im just not sure a 250 MX bike lugs that well?Maybe they are better then I think.

All the time. That bike has been abused relentlessly, and the only things that have broken on it are my eye socket and ankle.

American Flag - Taylor Park Colorado, 12,700'. That was the end of really good day of some ass kicking single track. After doing single track switchbacks and hyperventilating in my helmet, I was very happy to get on Italian Creek road and climb up to American Flag.

Great for rocks and roots, it sucks over 30-40 mph.
