Sweeper recon day? After work or most Fridays work for me, been wanting to have a local version for a while now. I've been finding the fun stuff between friendly neighborhood and downtown, and there out westerly (10th alley is goooood) plus there's a few good ones between 30th and campus.

I rode a few longer stretches of downtown Spfld alleys,,back and forth.
14th headed south,,turn west in the alley between C and D,, and the next block up has issues, skip to the next alley,,muddy and narrow,,just right,,almost all the way downtown. Some go a long ways east and west, but I am finding that a lot of them have crap thrown over the fence in piles, and good clear access is sketchy,,Oh,,and,, watch out for tire punctures due to discarded tweeker needles,, ![]()

St Paddy's Day
Great pictures, Yama Geek.
I called BLM re the two parks Tuesday. As indicated earlier, both are gated until week before Memorial Day. Did you notice how wide the junction of Vincent Creek and Smith R Road is at the junction? Lots of parking for bikes! LOL Still on as set up.

sunday forecast is the worst, they always get it wrong. I have doubts regarding my attendance at Bellfountain park,,ya never know,,if it seems like it may be more fun than doing laundry, I might show up.

Friday Bump!
[QUOTE=Chip Seal;20708805]According to BLM, Vincent Creek and Smith River Falls Campground are closed for the season. Plus my scouts report, site is now gated with CLOSED SIGNS! I called BLM and received confirmation.
They will open week prior to Memorial Day! Put this on your To Do list! Adventurous riders will gather at @ 11:45 on Sunday 03/17/2013 to celebrate the life of Saint Patrick! Welcome to Benton County's Bellfountain County Park Park Description Bellfountain Park, located in southeast Benton County, 3.7 miles NW of Monroe and 17 miles south of Corvallis, is the oldest Benton County Park. People have been gathering here for over 100 years. There is covered seating for 120 picnickers at one of the longest picnic tables in the world! The park has restrooms, large group barbeque, a softball field, a sand volleyball court, play area, horseshoe pits and seasonal wildflowers. Reservation Information [I did not reserve this site. But it is large enough for several groups.] Bellfountain Park has a covered group picnic shelter with seating for 120. The kitchen shelter has a sink, electric outlets, food preparation counters, and a group size BBQ designated for charcoal cooking. The park also has handicap accessible restrooms, a softball field, a sand volleyball court, play area and horseshoe pits. Recomend you bring your own water. Parking The park has limited parking; we encourage you to carpool if at all possible. Parking adjacent to the kitchen shelter and covered table is limited to the handicapped and for loading/unloading purposes. Park Location: See above. Google a map. Ask your Mom! This is a no host event. Riders will bring their own food, plates, utensils, coffee cup and music to participate. On site: a picnic table, charcoal and grill to prepare your celebratory dinner. If you want to share food, bring something everyone will enjoy! This is the result of popular acclaim. Several riders were unable to attend Bob Marley's Birthday Celebration. The prerequisite bribes were distributed and this event evolved! What better way to celebrate St Patrick than in the verdant Oregon Coast Range. Get adventurous! See many of you on SUNDAY, March 17th 2013 @ 11:45!

There are plenty of "back door" routes to make getting here interesting. I haven't been through there in a while but if you find Alsea Falls you can come through the back of Hult's Mill and end up at the park. I'm thinking of a more traditional approach of the three wheeled type myself.
