The fire could go anywhere, depends on the winds and we are heading for a very hot weekend with Monday being the most dangerous.

If you are coming down for the Supers next weekend, I would be planning on coming down the Bonung or the Cann river roads. I rode the Bonung to the McKillops Bridge turnoff then to Seldom Seen, Bruthen, Bainsdale on Tuesday, roads are in very good condition. Hilly road the entire Bonung last Sunday and it is also in very good condition.

Thanks for that heads-up Chris, just wondering if it was heading north?
thinking about the 'Cold Flame' 8-10 March, way this fire is going it could make it up there!!!
Cheers

Couldn't afford a 'GSA', so now it's an 'XSA' "I didn't do it! & whoever said I did, is a liar!"

So, been there and done that. Great weekend's entertainment and we'll be back next year for sure, some inspirational stuff, although I'm not sure I want to replicate any of John Muir's adventures. Walked across Australia unsupported, to both poles, survived a dunking in the Arctic Ocean, numerous Everest ascents, etc etc.

We too had a hoot, although practicality dictated travel by four wheeled means this time around.

Another excellent festival.

It was always a struggle to pick what we were happy to miss since there was so much to see. In hindsight we made a couple of blunders with our choices, but still had enough to reinforce to the Girlie that she can do anything she wants to - all that's required is the confidence to do so. What surprised me most was her interest in Gaby Schrott's walking presentation.

I really hope that Rupert, Austin and Lois can continue to justify the effort (and risk) they commit to by holding the festival. We'll be there every year they do.
