Anyone have GPS tracks of Mississippi river levys?
Looking for GPS tracks South of Hannibal all the way south to near Carbondale Illinois? Want to ride the levys and dirt/gravel along the river as much as possible where legal. PM me please.
Thanks, Brian

Thanks!
Cannonshot, I have been reading a bit on this and it seems like quite a few folks have been riding the levys along the Mississippi river/Illinois border. Also sounds like it's illegal down in the Southern states but we are only going to do the portion along Illinois.

I did a ride down to Keokuk and crossed over then came back up the IL side thinking of doing the same thing and was told that it was illegal and they would confiscate your bike if they caught you needless to say we didn't press our luck. We were told this by local people, and the areas we looked at there wasn't a track on the levee either. Didn't look like much fun for me. Loose sand on a big bike with street tires carrying luggage = no fun for me. Good luck though.

Yikes...
Don't need that! We will just ride on the posted roads that run next to the river then. Looks like plenty of them are gravel.

Down south of
Down south of Chester anyway, the roads on the levies are nice white rock, and rideable. People driving on them to get to farm fields, fishing holes and the river.
But my experience has only been on the west end of Big Dogs River to River ride. Which I rode from Moonshine down to Cave in Rock, then accross to the river all in Shawnee. Once you come off the bluffs in the west side of Shawnee and cross Rt 3 your up on the levies all the way up to where his route ends in Neunert. Including thru Grand Tower where the NG pipeline goes over the river. If it was illegal up north, maybe its a county by county thing on driving on the levies. If anybody has got the tracks it would be Big Dog! Mark has been everywhere I would Pm him and ask. YMMV Jailor8

Got some good tracks..
From Ajayhawkfan the other day. what we don't have we will wing!! It sounds like if it's a posted county road it's OK to ride on and if it's posted no tresspassing it's obviously not. Sounds like most are marked pretty clearly and we will error on the side of continued freedom if not!!
We are gonna take 2 full days to ramble from Louisiana, MO down to Trail of Tears State Park then take 2 days winding back up thru the middle of MO West of St. Louis back to Louisiana where the trucks will be. We will stop often to gawk, take pics, eat and drink! This is hard work after all!

Had a great time on your gravel ride...
A few years back. That ride and Pilot's SLAP ride were the first two rides I went on with my old DRZ 5 years ago. I can finally go faster than 25 mph now on the gravel roads!!

Yes plus 1!
I agree, the ride was great and the campground and cabins were nice as well. I cooked a big filet on the grill that evening and had a few cold beers, I remember it well...
