try it at your local bank and see how far you get, bit of curtesy goes a long way. in the middle of summer when you pull up at a servo you can't get all your gear off quick enough when you are sitting still.

Oh? Getting everything off is quick, but the other way it's, ear plugs in, balaclava on and fitted correctly, helmet on and secured, sunnies on, gloves on; all that takes time.

And spare a thought for those Harley riders out there, it's normally an hour & 30 just to get ready.

Geezuz!

Sorry to drag up an old done to death topic that clearly divides people so easily!!

I should clarify, this was before the guy would authorise the sale when I was still at the pump!

All I really wanted to find out was this type of request ' pre sale authorisation ' removal of helmets becoming common across Australia.

I personally have no issue removing my helmet when I walk into the shop itself, i just think, that's polite.

I have gone to pay in the past with it on and copped abuse from the operator as I was handing him the money which I found hilarious.

My local servo insists we leave them on by the way.

And for the record, my first jobs were working in servos, but that was a while ago now...

All you Gents live in towns to big for you!!

I can walk into my local bank/servo/ supermarket with my helmet on no worries which I sometimes do if im out running errands and dont feel like taking my helmet off!

The credit union ladies husband and her ride she know what its like, and the local servo staff seems to change fairly regular but they never have a drama.
