His exact response was " shit, thats a good question". He then said "you haven't been drinking have you....... Have anice night. "

In the servo...
If they dont turn the pump on, i place the hose carefully on the ground and leave.
It is not law to remove your helmet.
It is safer to leave it on while filling incase of fire.
It is courteous to remove your headgear when talking to (paying) someone.
I have asked if they had somwhere safe for me to leave my $800.00 helmet while i come inside to pay.
For a laugh, i have removed my helmet and put on my balaclave and baseball cap.........they turned the pump off and locked the door.
So please make this clear for a simple bloke like me, with reference to your last sentence, just exactly who had the laugh????

They also love tractors in paddocks emitting diesel exhaust fumes, I learned that one the hard way too

I just cannot fathom the confrontational attitude that some punters here are exhibiting, ffs why make enemies when you have the opportunity to make a friend. To be honest, by the time my 30 litre tank is empty i'm only too happy to get my helmet off and generally busting to use the toilet at the servo.
condition of entry, we reserve the right to rape and murder you,, its a sign on my shop, so it must be legal to do so

You blokes are nuts it wasn't that long ago that courtesy required a man remove his hat before walking indoors anywhere.
Seriously is it really that big a deal.
Instead of rattling off about your rights how about a little thought about responsibility instead, one day it might be your daughter at that cash register at 1am worried about this rough looking bloke making sure he cant be identified.
The best way way to make sure your rights are removed is to be aggressively antagonistic over bullshit that really is nothing but a little inconvenient at it's worst.
Courtesy, gentleman is the lubricant that makes it possible for a society to work! while we seem to be losing that ability daily, why be one of those who are determined to make sure that it disappears forever.
Leaving the hose laying on the ground seems to me to be a risky business in todays world ,the old "what if's" are pretty scary.

Yes,

But as we were talking about the "pay at the pump" option cash is irrelevant.

I've tried.....but I'm fcuked if I can find an appropriate slot in the pump to shove the cash in to.

Every time you put 20 litres of fuel in your bike your paying $10.35 tax to the Goverment, surely that's enough to get full driveway service and valet parking. Lobby your member now !

I've just added "fleece" to mine.
Why not "insult", "humiliate" "belittle"

"Car drivers are obliged to make up for their road cluttering sins by crawling into these premises, licking the floor"
endless list really

Settle down, Ol' Son the Libs have never repealed a tax without putting a sneakier, more profitable one in just like Labor has never missed an opportunity to bring in a new tax.
