I'm wearing these right now:

Chippewas, shearling lined, vibram soles. Super warm and comfy.

For another $75 you can have a pair of Russell's made to order, fitted to your foot.

We probably have a different mind set on it. Looking for masculine or macho is an elusive goal. It's the person in the boot that makes them such. What flies for masuline in some parts of the world might not fly here, what flies here might look dumb in others.

1000 Milers, or Ropers if you wanna save money. Ropers for $80 last a good while, look just fine in brown for office and casual wear without being cowboyish. 1000 Milers are worth the money and look great no matter how you're dressed and look better as they age.

True....I worked with a guy who looked just like Jason Statham and was ex Special Forces (Yugo/ Croatian) who was fond of wearing capri pants and carrying a man purse.

I dont think I would have laughed.

I gave up trying to be the worlds most interesting man quite a while back. About the time I figured out that a $2500 wristwatch and $800 sport coat didnt make me any more interesting than the average slug. Fallen so low as to now ride a KLR

I lean towards a little heavier boot, but when you start adding options like double vamp they get both heavy and expensive.

I'll take a stab at this one. Once you have worn the Williams boots, you'll have no further thoughts of Blundstones.

YMMV, but I don't think so.

I have wanted to try the 1000 milers, never seen them in shops. But for the price they want your close to the custom entry levels. Ropers I got covered, they are my daily wear when I'm not in steel toes.

1997 Justin's, they were under $100 and have been through 3 soles. Probably not going to make it to another set, I picked up a pair of Lucchese ropers, were over twice the price but not as comfy as the Justin.
