Did anyone head up here?

That'll be on the fall 2013 trip for sure. Timing would have been completely wrong this day to attempt such a road (starting early morning,10 hours of daylight incase something goes wrong)BUT had we found this road around 3:30 or 4 "what the hell how bad could it be"

Give us advance notice and we will charter the rescue helicopter. Just in case.

"What the hell. How bad could it be?"

That should be the title of this thread. It was uttered enough this trip. Little squiggly goat path on the 20 year old INEGI topo map? One working GPS? Lightest bike a Buick? WTH.

Awesome trip! I have been kickin a similar trip around for a while. I saw the SPOT map. Seems to leave big enough gaps to create some possible options. You say one GPS. Could you share the tracks?

spokedoc. James said you can change the number of points on the spot track for greater specificity from "40" to "select all". That should fix it.

No worries. I am just lazy and the tracks would be instant and easy. Using the SPOT map will work. i just have to think more. It will be a good exercise

Definitely some challenging terrain for a big bike!
The roads were in pretty good shape...considering they were shitty roads to begin with. As most of us know, it's not that any one section is that tough...it's that they just.keep.coming.

I am starting my hunt for a lighter bike but better packing and bag choices would have made a lot of difference.

KiLleR would have been much better on the tight switchbacks but couldn't have kept up on the pavement. Wondering about a 690.

rtwpaul just picked up a nice 625sxc for kit out for the balance of his RTW. Only '03-'04 in the US. Carbed.

The boys wait patiently but after the first hour start contemplating mutiny.

After first lying about how good a rider he used to be, slowoldguy changes the topic to the length of his penis.
