Frothy Oil
Let me just say this is only an observation from the dipstick and not draining the oil. But every time i check the level i feel like the oil is "frothy". Still super clean and no water or anything else but it seems like there is a lot of bubbles towards the top of the dipstick.
Has anyone else seen this? I am using Motul 300v in 5w-40 if i remember (i can check a little later tonight).

I noticed the same thing on my 990 when following the owners manual procedure. I started letting the bike sit for a few minutes after warm up and the bubbles disappeared. Hope this helps!

The oil dip stick is directly in the path of the oil line from the scavenging pump - this is quite obvious when you see the oil line coming into the oil tank behind the dip stick and imagine its trajectory. As the oil pump in the engine pumps oil mixed with some air in the crank case, the oil dip stick will always have a few air bubbles on it. Nothing to worry about IMO.

Like someone else said, you'll see bubbles on the dipstick if the bike was just run. I always let the bike sit for 5 minutes or so before I check the oil.
