Someone had testdriven a V8 supercar at Austin (Circuit of the Americas ?), but I didn't catch who it was. They mentioned top of the program, but I didn't catch the rest of the story.

Will Sprint cup race at that track ?
Just got an email yesterday hawking the V8 supercars in less than three weeks at Austin. They have been busy, keeping the place busy.

"You don't want to say, 'No big deal,' because it is a big deal," Labonte said. "But you can't make a big deal of it, either. At the end of the day, it's really not that big of a deal. Does that make sense?"

So I was looking through some old stuff in my closet, and I have quite a few programs, autographs, stickers, and other stuff from frequenting Nascar events with my dad in the 70's - 80's. This was the Earnhart Sr., Bobby Allison, Darell Watrip, etc. era.

Any value to this stuff? How best to realize it?

Depends what it is, value will be greater in a stronger economy. Yeah, I know what you are thinking.....I agree, hold on to it for several more years. eBay will be your friend....especially the Big E stuff.

Another Open Wheel superstar cannot make the grade in NASCAR with ample opportunity. After seven years, Montoya is unceremoniously non-renewed..... with a couple wins in seven years IIRC all on road courses....well at least he won some. Never made the championship run. Just a guy......

Yes more proof, of these intellectually dishonest boobs cry, "NASCAR drivers suck"....is just lame. Many have tried and none have succeeded in besting these guys. Guess it is harder than it looks to be a champion in stock cars.

Kurt Busch to Stewart/Haas next year! Let the moaning, wailing and gnashing of teeth begin. He is back...........
And he just might make the chase in his mid-tier ride this year.

I don't knock NASCAR drivers, quite the opposite. But on his planet, in this time dimension, Montoya has never been described as a superstar. He was a pretty good F1 driver whose star was fading when he made the switch.

Just so you know, the chase is on. Some abba dabba car is winning at the moment. C'mon Biff, driving for the last private American car company.

Championship weekend at Home Instead.

Well, this, the big weekend.....
Pastrana announces he cannot drive one of these rigs, after being given a prime seat, and is moving on. Surprise.....
(you know, because it is so easy to do, anyone could do it.....yet they come from the hot shot leagues and fail.)
Funniest thing I have seen lately is a description of next years SHR team as: Three Diva's and Danica.
Unless something crazy happens, JJ wins another. That team is very remarkable, like them or not.
