Cool. See you all there!

For anyone who's been before, can you camp out Sunday night too and leave Monday morning?

Can't see any problem with that, we left on the Sunday but I cannot imagine there would be any issues with extending. There are other tracks in the area to explore as well which is why we didn't hang around.

I will be starting on Friday morning, starting from north-east Czech Republic.
It will be my first Stella Alpina, anything special I should know?
I was hoping to do the old Ligurian border road also - maybe anyone has those tracks for gps?
Btw, will there be any signs to find the place of meeting on Sunday?

No, there are no signs in Bardonecchia of the Stella Alpina.
Maybe there is a sign 'Rochemolles' but I can't remember. Rochemolles is a small village on the way to the Stella.

You can download the track, here: http://alpenrouten.de/Sommeiller-Col...u_track44.html

The tracks of the ligurian borderroad is also available on alpenrouten.de:

No signs, but you can't go wrong - just follow the signs for the Motorway A32-T4 Frejus, at the roundabout take the small road with the sign "Rochemolles" and follow the road until it ends at Colle Sommeiller 3032 mts (if possible)
Most of the people will camp around Rifugio Scarfiotti

Remember that's 2115 mts, so nights will be cold.

Other rides that you could do around : the road to Jafferau fort from Eclause , between Exilles and Salbertrand

Follow the signs to "Rochemolles" at the roundabout in Bardonecchia....then keep going.

Tunnel has caved in ~12 months ago, that stretch is closed with proper barriers and all.
Things even got a bit rough towards Fort Pramand (the lower section, before the tunnel).

Supposedly there's a pretty bouncy/ rocky route up the skislopes from Bardonecchia/Millaures.

Is it only me or downloading the tracks really doesn't work?
