SST is almost right. I have to leave on the 29th or 30th. I thought I was going to have more leaway on the departure date but it didn't happen. That leaves a small window to herd these cats through! If it doesn't happen, I will survive. I am just happy that yall have occasionally let me ride with you and sometimes , in public places, act like you know me.

Is that Billy the Kid oops - sorry, it was Pat Garrett that was killed there, need more coffee, picture from Organ, NM? I used to ride my bike up there and drink an occassional beer and watch an occassional dancer at the Organ Mountain Lodge a long time ago - there was a little monument out back where Billy was shot.

As for a potential send off, we have to be at a wedding in Poonville on the 30th - the other Neil that has the Harley and the black GS is getting hitched.

Pic is from Fort Sumner, NM. They swear the Kid is buried there but they wouldn't let me dig to check.

No, Officer ... I'm not riding with those hooligans ... I don't even know 'em!

(Shame that we won't get to 'fly in formation' one last time before you go.)

Done.

In Austin now. Got rained on for the first time in 19 days. I was 2 miles from the GS's - "horse with no name" 's new home when this Texas thunderhead struck.

The back tire made it but just barely. It was nice and round when I left Nevada.
