What seat is that?

For the photos of the red F650/800GS . . anybody know what seat that is? Also, is that the light light or dark grey windscreen?

I believe it's Alaska Sheepskin cover. If your talking about the one on the F800GS custom blue in the pic. They have a vendor thread here.

Bah, just noticed you said red one. It looks allot like Russell daylong saddle.

The red F650GS (with the cast wheels) with the black hard bags has a Russell Day Long -- if your are looking at the bike with the "oversized bicycle" or "tractor" style seat.

If you are looking for a more comfortable seat, think about taking a quick trip down to Seattle and going to Rich's Custom Seats. He will build a new custom seat on your existing seat pan for about the cost of buying one of the off the shelf seats. And, it will be comfortable.

First class operation. And, he has an appartment you can rent or RV hookups or camping facilities.

Yes, that's the one, thanks.

Hey Steve, thanks for that info. on Rich's, I'd seem several recommendations for him on here but never visited his website, the video was very informative. Fun ride with you in the summer . . how was the rest of your summer? Bob

Hi Bob

Good summer. Not as much riding as I'd like. Trip to Calif to see my Dad and a couples trip with some friends. Just riding locally otherwise. Took my bike back down to Calif in November and left it there. Will pick it up in Jan and head south.

How about you? Get some more dirt roads in?

Steve

Not as much riding as I would have liked either, mostly around the valley similar to what we did. I'll look forward to your ride report :). We'll be in Mexico in February, but not with my bike unfortunately, although I'm aware of a group ride being planned from here to Mexico for March . . but thinking that might be too much for a first long tour. Still think I'd like to do south to Omak to Seattle, ferry to the Island, up Island, ferry back to mainland, bach to Okanagan north route, should be a week or so probably.
