I'm in this year unless I do something stupid like break my foot again in the spring. I'll be on an RXV 450, assuming it doesn't explode between now and then.

Georgia Pass eastbound was not fun on the Stelvio, but at least I can say that I did it.

I'm not much better, I put a new muffler on today and couldn't figure out why my bike was running like crap and cutting out.

Turns out that having gas in the tank helps.

X2

The way that hill came up after a turn from a flater section, it would be easy to be in too high of a gear and get bogged down / stall out. I'm so slow, I was already in a low gear when I got to the bottom of the hill, which is probably what kept me from getting stuck.

An RXV and a Stelvio? You sure like the obscure bikes don't you?

BreckTrek History - 2011

2011 was supposed to be almost the same as 2010, but with some harder sections like 735, technical singletrack.

Unfortunately we had a couple late winter storms and we couldn't get over either Georgia or Boreas Pass into Breckenridge, so our trip ended in Jefferson.

This was the only ride that had singletrack and it was the only time we did not make it all the way to Breckenridge.

16 riders started, 8 finished.

That drift on the scouting trip was DEEP and ate my pig right up.

I've been wanting to do this for a couple years now. I'm in as long as I don't run into any scheduling conflicts between now an then.

"This ain't no dress rehearsal" I'm in again

Hey Paublo, I didn't see you at CMTRA last night to let you know, but I'm on for doing this again this year. Last year was just too much fun.

I wanted to make the meeting, but I had a late day at work. I had a friend there that gave me an update on Bear Creek.

Glad you'll be back this year.

Solution; pencil it in and make sure nothing ever conflicts with your motorcycling schedule.

BreckTrek History - 2010

2010 was the first year we tried BreckTrek as a one-day ride, this made it the serious distance challenge that we have today. It was very popular. We started with 16 riders at the beginning of the day. At the top of Georgia Pass we had 20 riders. And I think we had 9 remaining at the end of the day. We finished not-too-long after dark.
