im a student, and i need your help guys!
hi guys, so heres the story.
(btw, sorry that my first post is a bit of a lengthy one) i noticed that there is quite a keen following of the Dakar rally on this forum, and i was hoping that you guys could help me out. let me explain... im a student studying automotive and transport design at coventry university in England, and my most recent project involves designing a T4 racing truck. im pretty clued up on the rally in general, being a life-long petrol head, but i dont know anywhere near enough about the trucks. i basically need to know eveything about them. mainly what they carry in terms of parts, tools, etc, what roles the crew members play, any good interior/mechanical pics anyone may have, etc. dont worry im fully aware that this forum is focussed on motorcycles, but after scouring the internet for a more appropriate forum, i couldnt find one. sorry to ask so much of you guys in my first post, and im praying ive got this in the right section of the forum, but if anyone happens to know anything about this and could give me a hand i would be forever greatful. thanks guys Chris |

try to get a hold the de rooy team and do an internship for them. Dont know many in the UK that race the trucks. Perhaps you can contact Patsy Quick and she can steer you toward a UK based team you can tag along with.

Sorry, couldn't resist! Patsy is a legend.
Maybe try get hold of the guys at Bowler. They've been involved in the Dakar for years. Based in England too. |
