Windscreen modification 1990 gspd

I recently installed handlebar risers on my GSPD and I need to cut a small piece out of my windscreen so that on a hard left turn the master cylinder will not come into contact with the windscreen. Prior to installation of new risers, the master cylinder fit under a scallop in the windscreen.

Any advice out there on how to best cut the windscreen which is a stock BMW item.

Jig saw, coping saw, number of teeth on blade per inch, grit of sandpaper to finish it off, etc.?

Any comments, constructive or otherwise, would be most appreciated.

I just cut some of that today on the band saw. As many TPI as you can get will give a much finer cut= less sanding.Tape on each side, mark the cut and go slow.

If just modifying an edge, or scallop,the dremel with one of them little drum sanders could work also.

Then I went and tried this, the diamond coated hacksaw blade. Works well and a pretty smooth edge.

Trim a small piece of the bottom of the screen where it hits the rubber buffers, you'll be able to tilt it forward enough to clear the bars then.

Mad some good luck just moving my whole switch gear master cylinder a little outboard.
