Taos New Mexico to San Francisco

Hey all I'm looking to fly and ride a KTM 990 from Taos New Mexico to SF in the very near future. Taos to Flag Staff, 40 to Barstow to I-5 SF.

With current weather conditions A. Would you do it? B. If so any advice?

oh and it's for this bike I figure it's a good deal, http://santafe.craigslist.org/mcy/3538567917.html

Thanks!

Other than the snow near Taos currently, I would do it.

You'll need some warm riding gear. With a First Gear Kilimanjaro jacket, a buff to cover my neck, and some overpants, all but my fingers have been warm enough when the temperature is over 35 degrees.

Get some good earplugs. My favorites are rated at 31 dB, which is not quite good enough. I use some other ones rated at 33 dB that are better. You'll learn to seriously dislike the wind buffeting from the 990 Adv, even with the different windscreen on that one.

It sounds like you're flying there and riding the bike back, right? I would also recommend finding an owner's manual online for it and read the whole thing so that you're not trying to figure things out while riding.

Good luck, and we'll hope to see you soon in the Orange Crush section.
