Last time we made the Sidecar Rally was with the small-person in a Flexit and the missus on her Monza.
Kicked out the sidestand, leant the outfit over and started setting up the Taj Mahal tent.
A few blokes wander over to say g'day and look at the (very shiny) bike and leaning sidecar, as you do.
Eventually some moth-eaten old fart wanders over, looks at it for 15 seconds and pronounces in a very loud voice to the assembled gathering, "Nah - can't possibly work!" and stumped off, taking his circling flies with him.

How the phark did he think we got there then? Beamed down by bloody aliens?

Prick.
Fairly sure we passed him on the way home - some greasy old smoke-blowing clap-trap, crabbing up the road and struggling to maintain 80 - but we blew past so fast I couldn't be sure, but I gave him a wave anyway....

Haven't really much bothered with the sidecar rally since then - probably better with Doonie at the controls.

Meh.
Doubt it was Doonie - this fly-blown ancient had hair.... (Hi Doon: ellis says g'day!)
Went to the Spag rally late last year for the first time in 15 years - and besides a different site, it was mostly the same old farts banging on about the same old things - and mostly riding the same old things too (though some had new bikes....)
Might come back in another 15 vyears and see if anything's changed.

Thinking off coming down on Friday, leaving about 1300 on Saturday - get back & do the 'Autumn Leaf' @ Tummurrama on the Sat night!!

Did it in '08, did the Griffith classic ride on Fri-Sat, left Leeton 1500 Sat, @ 'Autumn Leaf' 1800 that night!!!!

'White Beast' can motor along sometimes!!!!, probably lucky I didn't do a liscense that W/E!!

Do the Griffith Classic Ride on Saturday morning,

then bugger off & call in @ the 'Autumn Leaf' on the way home via Tumurrama & Wee Jasper
