You guys are making me hungry! As others have said The Shed is a must to eat at. I've only been once but have family that have eaten there for years and they've always loved it. They have some great margaritas!

All have made great recommendations, some of my favorites for Northern NM cuisine include Maria's, La Choza, PC 's, Horseman's Haven, Tia Sophia's. Cocktails at The Pink (dragon room), Cowgirl, La Posada. Comfort food at The Swiss Bakery, Harry's, Dave's Not Here. I realize I've forgotten a few but these are some of my favorites. For dirt rding you have Buckman, Alcalde, Jemez all very close. Street riding, the high road to Taos is one of my favorites and from Las Vegas to Sipapu is another favorite. And let's not forget the road up to Sandia Crest!

Plenty of good food, drink and riding in the area.

And when did the SF Reporter become the authority on restaurants. I suppose you also pay attention to the personal ads there too.

I knew the purists would get angry, but I like a little bit of diced tomatoe in mine. Sometimes I put in half green chilis and half red chilis, but thats a lazy mans xmas chili.

If ya want a great cinnamon roll french toast or a just a great giant cinnamon roll with good coffee try out the Counter Culture Cafe. Its a great breakfast.

It is a good place to start for a newcomer - they have a pretty extensive list of good places to eat, or at least to try. I was also unaware of the personal ads!

The Reporter IS a good magazine to see what is happening around Santa Fe - art openings, events, night life. I guess next time I'm in town I'll have to look for those personal ads since they are usually good for entertainment!
