California Couple Reported Missing in Peru

A California couple on a bicycle adventure have not posted or reported in since mid January. Last posted their travels near the Machu
Pichu area. ( Maybe someone can repost the pic from the link...)

I don't think these last two groups (the people who got stone with their 4x4 and this pair on the bikes) have been ADVers

Hopefully these two California bikers just got on a nasty ayahuasca trip out in the bush of Peru.

And another couple today.
This should be stickied somewhere that people will see it.

Peru is a very welcomed country , where almost 30 million visitors , all ages, all mean of transportation make a visit every year.

Beside what the Media have to publish, better to wait for a good outcome.

Lets hope & pray they are safe somewhere.
Its terrible to read such things esp as this news comes close on the heels of another British RTW cyclist couple who were fatally run over by a truck in Thailand last week.

Thanks for posting the photo. Just putting it out there into the world where someone might see it.

We all travel, some further than others, and it's a shame if someone at home is left to worry.

Does it make a difference if they are inmates here? Bottom line is they were doing what we love--traveling.

I was referring to the solo guy whom they found dead after he was missing for a while...or was that ecuador????

from the article:

The U.S. State Department said that according to their families, Hand and Neal had been traveling from Cusco to Lima, Peru, and were expected to arrive in Lima on Jan. 26.

...

The road b/w Cusco and Lima isn't exactly the boonies. Hearing these stories is bizarre to me after spending a fair amount of time in Cusco and the surrounding area.

So no Bermuda triangle there for adventurers then?

Nice to know given we are heading that one ... eventually.
