Saying Trails makes most people think of singletrack, and that is not the domain of the mighty 1200. Look up Skibumbrian and ask him for road advice. There is so much riding on the National Forest roads that you should be able to stay busy for years.

I know there is a group called the Redding Dirt Riders that meets regularly. They are more off road but would still be able to give you advice.

If you do take the 1200 on single track please take pictures or video

1200 gs

I 'll ride with you. I ride a 650 Dakar but like dirt roads.
I have a pretty hecktic next month. but have been known to slip away at a moments notice. Been down a few roads in the area, once in awhile I find a new one. Or just one I forgot about. It would be nice to ride with someone that isn't on a dirt bike with lights.

Hey did I meet you at the Brewery In Dunsmuir last year.
I could have been riding the Dakar or dirty and looking for a Train.

Ain't moved up to Shasta yet, got some property in Bella Vista and try to get up ervery month or so for the weekend. Got a GS too but ride XR Hondas for trials. If ya wanna stop in fer a few cold ones I'll post up when I'll be up next. Was planning on easter weekend but it kinda sucks stayin in a trailer during thunder storms.
