I've started a ride report thread here

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...0#post21034760

Could everyone paste their photos, videos or recollections there from now on?

Would be great to hear your individual stories too, how you came to be on the ride, best part of the ride, hardest part etc etc.
I didn't get a chance to have a good chat with everyone (gee, ya think?... 56 riders!), so would love to hear a bit about you.

I really enjoyed catching up with alot of people I have been on mutli-day rides with all over Qld on the weekend. I really enjoyed witnessing Susie grow in confidence and also standing back and watching other people helping her and providing advise. She must get sick of me so it was great to see others sharing their experience with her.
I also really enjoyed the sound and spectacle of so many bikes out and about.
Thanks Strummer, thanks helpers and riders alike.
It was also great to see so many women riding. Susie was really thrilled about this too. Go gals you good thangs!

I
Eddy... I have photos of another day where the Big GS did well... Do the words "Cancer Ride 2010" and "Mt Buggery" ring a bell?

You did well that day too.

I think Todd rode the big GS more than Eddy that day, but Eddy repaid him fairly by burning the clutch out on the Kawa. Then entered the Dominator but that's another story.

You did great on that thing mate! I must admit, there were a few times when I was thinking...mmm...would I be happy doing this on a KLR or Ten?? I nearly turned the group around a couple of times
When you get a dirt weapon, come out on a mucky ride with us.

Yep, was a crap ride. I even said so in the middle of my vid Thanks to Barry's candid camera skills.

Troy, as Barry suggested, subscribing to the notification thread is really the best way to avoid missing out.
Also, you can make the 'Australia' forum page a favorite (pc) or bookmark (mac) in your internet browser, and just check it whenever you have a minute. Snail Trails ride threads are always labelled as such.
Catch you out there soon!

The wife has already but here request in for another bike after she saw all the girls on the vid. Just have to wait until she pops the kid out (May) and everything is settled.

Are you still intending on doing some more technical stuff after Easter. I'm happy to play recovery team to pull people out/up whatever if I can make it.
James, glad you enjoyed the day. Personally, I really enjoyed seeing the 'Bee in action! That thing goes anywhere!!
We'd be glad to have your missus along when she gets the wheels.
And no problems about the roosting mate, I always think that if I'm not covered in mud by the end of the day, I'm just not having enough fun! And besides, you were not the only mud splasher out there, let me tell you!!

I'll keep you in the loop for the enduro skills ride day too.
Cheers.

Ha I had nightmare of trying to punt the big pig up there. It was so slippery that we were flat out standing. Snail trail and rides like that with the great seq adv chapter has built my skills and confidence. I purr up there these days. The Dr feels like a toy after learning on the GSA! Love to see the old shots

Todd saved me that day. Had to buy him a new clutch and lent him the Domie which he brought. Cunning plan ha ha. I ended up doing his coarse which taught me heaps.
I haven't heard from TKsmith for a while? Wonder how he is traveling. I would recommend his adventure riding coarse. He is a great instructure!

I totally agree Eddy,

Todd is a fantastic instructor! We had him out a couple of times to do the Snail Trails 101 skills days, and he was just brilliant. Lot of people learned some great tricks on those rides, and Todd was kind enough to offer us his time for free.
I would encourage everyone new to dual sporting, to get in touch with Todd and see when the next course will be.
Well worth it.
