Yep, haven't decided on riding the GSA up or hauling my DR650 on the truck. And each decision depends on when and if I can get away from work early on Friday. I'm in Phoenix right now, so I won't know until I get back to the office on Monday. I'll keep you posted.

Let's keep in touch on this. Maybe Boulder_Ed will throw in with us. Not sure which bike I'm bringing at the moment. Just got extra tubes today for the WRR but still need a new tail bag for all the side-of-the-road gear.

SOG, you getting a hotel room??

Roads are in great shape after the squall. I have been practicing. I call this move "Oh, shit. A fuckin' puddle. "

I sense more desire to be on the KLR in your future.

Is that the same ktm I saw parked off of fm200 by Brazos Point/Five Oaks around 2:30 or 3:00? Same color jacket too.

Uh, Yea-uh!

Last three exits from Mexico were solo rides and you know what that means.

I was pouring >200 pesos of fuel into the tank every three hours. Did reach 129mph, however.
Where else can you cruise all day at 110 mph and not be hassled, I ask ya?

an oval track?

Back to camping, I'm back in town. My shoulder is still bothering me so I'm leaning towards riding the GSA up instead of the DR. If I take the DR I'll just end up hurting worse by Monday. The only question now is whether I can get away early enough on Friday to make it there before it is dark.

Boulder Ed, when were you thinking of heading out?

I'm totally flexible...

I am up for tagging along on my GSA whenever you guys are ready to leave. I do need to set up a tent when I arrive so a little daylight would be appreciated if possible.
BTW, mine averaged 47mpg on an 8500 mile run to Alaska in June /July, carrying all the gear you could imagine, and my trusty camping guitar :-)
