There are large threads running on several forums regarding the Mitas recall, but new threads like this one still keep popping up.
Those of us "in the know" should try to bring the OP's of the new threads up to speed on the issue ASAP.

If I had been caught by the recall I probably would have chucked a tube in but scraped the word "tubeless" off the tyre sidewall to avoid the risk for someone else if I sold the bike.

They must have changed their tune, as fitting a tube was the initial temporary fix. Anyway, it doesn't matter, as long as no more people get hurt.

Would you have the links to these threads about the tyre? I need to find out if anyone else in Australia or elsewhere has been injured as I have.

I was emailed by my local dealer where I bought and had installed a mitas e07 for my weestrom.

A replacement tire was shipped and installed free of charge in March. They even included a free digital tire gauge in the box the tire came in, nice touch.

I put several thousand kms on my original front tire and I found it to be a great tire that did it all. The replacement tire was sold with the bike as I have stepped up to a Varadero.
