Motorcycle Hire Auckland DR650 or KLR

Hi Guys

I'm planning to tour the north island around September this year following the 1994 WRC Rally Stage Routes which were apparently over spectacular rural countrysides.

Can anyone recommend where I may hire a bike.

Any local info will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
MB

Helping the good guys from South Australia please

Fellow kiwi inmates or others from overseas whove hired bikes in New Zealand, (thinking McCardigan here)please chime in with any helpful advice for Master Brewer aka Kym.

Kym is a buddy of Kipo and Aussie Trev both of whom were extremely generous in help with my travels in South Australia last year.Kipo assisted Clint and Rosie with their travels in the Flinders back 2009.

I've explained to Kym, few of us locals have reason to hire bikes in our own country.

Thanks in advance for any helpful assistance we can offer Kym and his buddies.

Cheers Oaters

excellent - Sept is a great month weather wise (usually) for bike exploring.

Harken ( Hoken) who owns Enduro tours also does the Vietnam one I went on with him, great guy and his lovely lady Georgia.

If you picking up the bike from Auckland North Shore I's suggest going up the back roads of the West Coast heading North.
You can do a few beach rides up Bayleys and 90 mile if you plan the tides well. Lots of inland gravel too.
