yeah, I'm running 160 mains and 1.66 needles on an r100 motor with very high flow (and loud) pipes and a stock intake. Took up the difference from sea level with the idle circuit. I'm increasing the compression and dual plugging so I may tweak that a bit.

Should I mention the Epcos? No, you weren't interested. but they make nice stuff and custom orders are no problem. I had their glasspacked sport mufflers made up to look stone stock (bullet style), single crossover rather than dual (tho' I later removed that and brazed over the holes), no thermostat crush, etc.

Zuena stock ??
Stock Keihan 28.25mm
Staintune touring 32.2mm
Staintune Sports ??
Keihan Jim Crays 42mm

I agree, 650cc Brit iron running gold star silencers............ I was running my Jim Cray's down a Dutch motorway, when refueling a random Dutch guy congratulated me on having a "crisp" sounding bike.

To be honest iv got a pair of quieter silencers I use when doing a long trip, the laud exhaust gets tiring after a while!

Loudest bike I ever had and heard was a 75/5 with Ecco mufflers, well, exhausts. Not much mufflin' happenin'!

They were made by Ecco engineering of Coburg in Melbourne. Gyro Carless (?) designed and raced turbo beemers and had these things made. They were his version of a Conti set I s'pose. The only other bike maybe louder was a MG LeMans mk1 with short Stucchi pipes. Nasty!
Unsocial.

Well over 20 yrs I'v had my Keihan's on the outfit and they're superb. But they have both cracked in the pillion support area. I never thought that the omission of that little tab would be the cause. Of course both my tab's have broken off.
Other than welding, is there a Meccano fix for this?
Find the end of the crack and at least stop drill it. That way it won't go any further and you can wait to get them welded at a later date.

@BoxerBoy81

Do you do requests?

How about one fully warmed up?

I really am liking the sound of those pipes compared to the alternatives.

Requests!

If I get time today, I'll take it out for a spin.

Something slightly bigger than what is in the Mikuni should do it. The BING went from 160->170 mj.
