Glasgow

I will have an overnight in Glasgow later this month. So basically get in early in the morning. and 24 hrs later head out. If the weather is decent, I would like to head out for some exploring. So is there a place where I could rent a bike and gear for the day? I know there is a beemer dealer, as well as a Harley dealer there not far from the hotel we stay at. Any other options?

Loch Lomond is approximately 30 minutes drive from Glasgow and offers some beautiful scenery and roads for riding. There are a few roads up that way that you definitely have to explore!

I'm not sure where you could rent a bike and gear, but if you're struggling I'm sure i could find a few places for you.

Wouldnie bother rentin a bike.If your goin to loch lomond,or mabye visiting stirling for the castle or wallace monumont then considering our weather u mite want to rent a car instead. If you go through to edinburgh then get the train. Take the car and as suggested, take a drive up past loch lomond, glen coe to fort william then even up by loch ness to inverness then if you want back down the A9. Plenty more nice roads, the route ive mentioned is probably one of the more popular tourism routes. You could even head up the A9 an turn off at aviemore for the whisky trail and mabye visit a couple of distilliries

Thanks. Since I only have the day, maybe just take the train. I occasionally take day rides elsewhere on layovers. But, yes the weather is an issue. Makes it hard to plan until the day arrives.

I'll be in Limerick tomorrow, but guess it will be rain.
