Because they are catering to the riders that don't trust newfangled ideas. Oh wait, that describes an Airhead Owner...( tongue firmly planted in cheek )

And it would be out in the open for the world to see not looking as cool as that telescopic fork that was invented quite some time ago.
I would prefer a Telelever myself.
