All,

I've laid up the second set but have run out of Kevlar, I ordered some more a few days ago but for now I'm at the mercy of the USPS.

I also ordered a few metres of orange carbon/kevlar hybrid cloth if anyone's interested;

be aware that there are pre 2002 tanks that are 30 ltrs and may need modifying or cutting to fit (had to do i on my 01 30 liter with chris barnes product)

Thanks for the info, do you have a picture or any more details? It would be good if I could cut them for pre 02 owners.

Cheers,
Michael

What i'm gathering from the pictures is that the petcock protection on the right is an extended ear that ideally we'd just drill through with a hole saw for access right?

Orange carbon/kevlar? If you end up doing a set can you upload the picture? Us 02 silver adv owners are lacking some of the orange koolaid that was vomited all over the post 04 bikes, maybe this is my chance to fit in the "cool" kids

Hi,

Right now there is no petcock protection, the guards just follow the contours of the tank. I'm looking at adding it as an option but haven't got around to it yet. If there's enough interest I will, if someone wants to post up a pic of the petcock area with a ruler as reference that would help.

I've ordered the orange carbon kevlar, I'll make a set with it as soon as I get it. I've never used coloured fabrics before so I'm interested in how it'll turn out too.

Cheers,
Michael

I'm sure I'll have you on my list, PM me your name or email and I'll let you know a rough idea of when I can get them to you.

The easiest payment is usually paypal, I'll send an invoice including shipping when it comes to it.

Cheers,
Michael

Those look awesome! Can't wait to see a pair with the orange fabric. Any word on exactly what type of trimming has to take place for these to fit on the 30L tanks?

I don't see why not, to make the mould someone would have to send me a side case thought which would be a bit of a pain for them. I'll see if there are any cheap ones on ebay that I could use.

Cheers,
Michael
