The Kawa looks really beautifull . I wonder how can you bulit some multi purpose rear tanks that would adapt to most bikes so that you do not have to have different designs...

Keep up the good work and don't forget the 640 Advs

Till later,
D.

Thanks for the kind works D!

That's a great idea on the tanks, something to think about certainly. I have something in the works for my new 530, maybe that could be more universal.

Cheers,
Michael

KTM 640 Adventure Rally Fairing

Finally we are able to offer a rally style (tall) fairing for the KTM 640 Adventure. See the pics below of the prototype (already sold!). Made of carbon fibre and kevlar it is surprisingly light, especially when compared to the original.

Pricing will be announced shortly. As always you can visit our website for more information:

640 Adventure Fairing

All,

A note on the design of the 640 Adventure Fairing above.

The shape/design of this fairing was developed by Pete640 in WA a few years back for his own use and he also sold a few. He has been extremely generous in allowing me to use the design of this part, partly because he's to busy to make them himself but mostly because he's a nice guy. He could have told me to bugger off but instead he let me to use his design (that would have taken many hours to develope) and even offered to help on other projects.

Thanks Pete!

Cheers,
Michael

Dr650

Hey Michael,
Ive got my Pay Pal ready for those Carbon Kevlar case guards for the DR650 we talked about. I was just at a ADV ride with about 85 other riders and about 25% were DR's who could also use a set!
Just trying to keep the thought process going. Really want some, love the look of Carbon.
Regards, Terry

Yes, that's the one in silver on Pete640's bike.

Carbon is easy and drills/cuts cleanly. The kevlar can be tricky to cut cleanly as it leaves little fluffy tails but that's a consequence of it's excellent abrasion resistance. The tails can be trimmed with sharp scissors but I usually stop the kevlar about an inch from where it needs to be cut/drilled.

I've got a few projects on the go right now (making a few things for some Australasian Safari riders) so I'd expect the first 640 bash plate to be ready in 3 to 4 months time.

Good stuff. I've been on the lookout for a set of cases for the DR650 so I can make the prototype. Hopefully something pops up soon, I'll post something over in my thread in the Aus forum and see if I get any bites.

Hi Michael
How do you attach the dash to the your 640 fairing, the original one has some little tabs on the side with rubber grommets that the dash clips into i can't see that in your pictures,
Would love to see one on a bike before i order one.

Cheers Phil

Hi Phil,

There are no tabs at this stage, I'll see what I can do.

Cheers,
Michael
