Hotel around St. Louis

I am riding an iron butt headed to Rockford IL through St Louis on I 55. St. Louis is the mid point and I plan to get a room for about 5 hours. Looking for one with easy on and off ramps and a safe area.
This is going to be on 4- 11-13 on the way to moonshine.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Pappy

Id just look on Expedia and find a chain close to the expressway.

The way your are doing an Iron Butt is how I did it when I bought my 99 Venture in Pennyslvania and rode it back to Chicago in 24 hours. Left at 2:00pm and rode until about 10:00. Stopped at a motel where I could park the bike close to the room. I slept for 5 hours and then continued on my trip. Much better to do the trip rested.

I go through and stay the night around STL regularly. I would recommend staying in St. Charles. It is a suburb west of STL on I-70. They have every chain right off the highway. The area is very safe.

There is an older Holiday Inn (that I lived in for a year back in '92) and a new Hampton Inn at I 55 and Butler Hill Road. 15 or so miles south of downtown St Louis

I've stayed at the Drury Inn in Collinsville a few times and I would recommend it. They have a REAL hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. in the mornings, plus some kinda' hot food in the evenings. Easy on and off the interstate, secure parking, and other places to eat within walking distance. Have a safe trip!

Thanks for the interest and help. Looks like Collinsville is the place. I like Drury Inn as well that free booze is great.
