Just a quick FYI that I've created a ride report thread here:
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=870340

and will be blogging live from the road/trail/campsite here:
http://gavingear.com
1st installment: http://gavingear.com/2013/03/13/cent...e-2013-part-i/

Thanks everyone for the help on this thread with the planning!

I think a nice ride would be from Cashmere up Mission Creek to Haney Meadows, down and out through Reecer Creek, then slab to the wind farm, up north through the wind farm to Whiskey Dick and back to the Malaga area through the Colockum. Been many years since I was in the Whiskey Dick area, so I'll have to figure out how to link that section. Be either a long day or a fun weekend.
Won't happen until June/July due to snow, and maybe not this year due to the Mission Creek road closure and washout- plus the fire last year probably dropped a few hundred trees on the road.
Plan to do the northern legs of the WABDR this summer though.

Its been a few years but a group of us hosted a little day jaunt called the IronButt 150. We staged in the Cooke Canyon and made a loop to West Bar, refuel, loop out to Haney Meadows and back shooting for 150 miles. It ran for 5 years. We will have to get together and ride the big bikes up there. I've ridden it all including the single track. I would say my favorite ride is Vantage to West Bar and back.

Sounds fun. I'll have to do more riding in the Colockum/West Bar area this summer.
