990's price drop!

i have been in the market for the last 6 months for a new 990 adv. since march, i noticed there was an additional $1500 dealer incentive. this put the 2012's solidly in the 11k mark, with the baja at 13,500.

i just put a deposit on a 12', which i hopefully pick up this weekend.

so, i guess my quandry is i am glad i got the bike cheap, but does that mean resale values just plummeted? i plan on keeping it for a while, since the 1190 doesn't seem to fit the bill for my type of riding.

if anyone is on the fence, now is the time to jump...

I think resale values will still hold and maybe even have a lift as I think many will find the 1190 too big and want to go back to a 9xx.

Low 11s for my new 2011. I agree - good deal and resale should be solid. Hopefully as good as the Super Enduro!

There were a lot of left over 07's and I saw a few advertised in the high 10k range. It didn't seem to affect the resale values.
I'll bet that they run out of 990's mid year getting ready for the 1190. The 950/990 values should do well for quite a while since the 1190 even as nice as it looks won't have the off road capability of the LC8's . The model years with the long travel "S" and "R" bikes are destined to be classics and sought after for many years.

There is no rebate on the 2013 baja. The rebate is $1500 on 2012 and prior adventures total, not an additional incentive. This still makes for some great deals.

i saw quite a few 13's on cycletrader listed at 13.5k. mebbie they are looking for preorders?

picking my 12' up in a few hours.... i can't sleep!
