Special orders. My dealer has had "close but not quite" with a couple that have come and gone. (e.g. same equipment but white not red, cast wheels not spoke, etc). For some folks that doesn't matter, and that's cool. I really wanted spokes, so I wait...

Did you notice if they have LED's, and spoke wheels? My dealer has a blue one with halogen and chrome wheels and its also sitting in the showroom. I believe it had ESA and ASC though.

My take is that most know what they want at this price range and have ordered and/or are willing to wait.

Well the ride home from Greensboro was long trying to do the break end. I have about 160 miles on her. I love the cruse control, no more fumbling around with the twist and adjust. Calling Garmin to see which GPS they make for BMW. It has been raining so I can't wait to test the LED headlight.

I must admit I'm not sure about the BMW issued tinted screen on the GS, it's certainly darker than their tinted screens I have on my other BMWs.
I've fitted one on my GS but not ridden with it yet, as I say I'm not 100% on it, I might take it off again and sell it. Any thoughts?

I've no issues with the level of tint. Out all day yesterday, and it was fine. IMO, it finishes off the look of the Thunder Grey.

Unless you look through it, does it matter other than appearance?

From a performance point of view, no, there's obviously no difference, I'm just concerned how it changes the bikes appearance and looks to me at least ,too aftermarket and out of place.

I took delivery of this bike on Saturday evening. Vario side cases, Motofizz tail bag, BMW small tank bag, Nav IV (does not obscure the tachometer, at least for me).

350 miles on the bike so far. Should have the initial service this week. BMW engine guards are still not available but are supposed to be in on May something.
