Just bought 60cs

I think I overpayed, 150.00 on ebay. So now I am wondering if I should resell it and upgrade with memory. I learning how to use it somewhat but the thing is not real user friendly. The package came with mapsource city select U.S. dvd and unlock code. along with trip and waypoint disc.

I uninstalled it after unsuccessfully trying to unlock the map, whenever I entered the 8 digit unlock code I got the "error communicating with garmin server."

I downloaded latest basecamp and was able to import the gpx tracks of Colorado trip, the main reason I bought the garmin. I just cant figure out how to get City Select ver7 that came with device in BaseCamp.

Any suggestions?

Yes, very old tech worth $50, 60/76Cx used perhaps $75-100, Top of the hand helds 78, only $200 new.

However since you got it, try to find an old unprotected copy of MapSource Roads & Rec for $25 on e-bay or friend can just burn you a copy. With this you are set to learn most of what you need to know and are ready for when you upgrade.
