Reading the rules of this thread, I see I should be posting up a new tag.

This name should be familiar to most long-time residents of Omaha.

However, the Peony Park in my picture once went by a different name.

About 1/2 mile of gravel is required as a note for the gravel-adverse.

My new toy

Since I was coming back from Omaha through Wahoo with my new Spyder, anyway . . .

I heard that these people bought some of the rides and stuff from Peony Park with big plans to make a new one just East of Wahoo. Doesn't seem that it has worked out that way for them.

Obviously this is an old schoolhouse. More recently, though, it was home to Nancy Ann and Teddy.

Yes, that's the rumor.

The actual history of the this location, which was called Wanahoo Park and is the namesake for Lake Wanahoo, is more interesting.

Lots of little parks like these existed in Nebraska back in the 20's and 30's, but they're mostly forgotten now.

How 'bout another clue.

I got plenty of time this week to get there, I just don't know where there is.:

Ok, a little less subtle hint: it was (maybe still is?) a doll and teddy bear store, not in Lincoln or Omaha.

How about a county? Old brick schoolhouse somewhere between Lin and Oma.

I like the easy ones

Thought this would be interesting. It is not the one pictured though.
