Hwy 20 to the end....

I heard this morning that the North Cascades Hwy
could open as early as the first part of May this year.
That and the beautiful sunny day motivated me up the highway.

Gorge Dam

one of the few vehicles I encountered

Diablo Lake

Ross Dam

the end of the road for me , probably another mile to the gate, Mr Cob can have more fun here

Thunder Arm on Diablo Lake

I was thinking that this is really a last glorious winter day and not an early spring day. This picture says I am probably right.

What a great day to be out. Thanks for sharing.

I thought I had my route to the Salem rally in July all picked out, but every time someone posts photos of the area I want to change my route and see more of the PNW!

Maybe I should just slab out there and back so I can fit more of it into one trip...

That stretch and beyond are one the prettiest places I've ever been. Thanks for taking me there again.

I'm thinking I can ride over Stevens Pass on the way and return N. Cascades. Sounds like a fun weekend to me.

Good idea, fast forward through the plains and get to the good stuff. West Mt. is full of good too.

They always put the opening out to the news via TV/newspaper.
Be nice to see you and anyone who wants to ride. I'll post as soon as I hear/read something.
