It looks like fun... well except for those big pot holes.

Moving from Skagit County to Seattle has a frown on my face for ease of access to good riding places. Thanks for the lead on this one. Time to pull out the maps.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but there's no legal off road riding out there. Its all either private property or DNR land which is not open to the public for riding.

The locals don't take to kindly to the trespassing, and the DNR has blocked most of the gates.

Its a shame, but that's the way it is.

Please don't encourage people to ride out there.

Lol. I just googled what you suggested, and the "secret" is still safe. Obviously I am not trying to keep a secret, just wanted to share a great ride with you folks, without giving out the exact location. Commence shit storm! Guess I will never get invited to "Eastside Meetups" now...

I will edit the original post to remove anything that suggests where I was, and give the exact location here, to avoid confusion: the staging area is in Pierce County, about 100 meters South of Vashon Island.

I see your point, I have edited the original post. Rest assured that I did not pass any closed gates or violate no trespassing signs.

I like to change the geo tag info in my pics for confusion.

No worries. There is some nice riding out here on the roads, even a few dirt roads that can be fun, but most of it is private property or DNR that is off limits that gets a steady stream of illegal riding activity.

The private property/DNR stuff is ok for the local kids on their minibikes, not so good for full grown adults.

Your still welcome in Skagit county Sean. We won't hold your residential area against you.

If there are no signs or gates keeping you out, I see no problem.
Thanks for posting. If I'm ever up in the area I may try to check it out.

All this keeping riding areas secret stuff kinda bugs me really.
If it is illegal to ride their, that is a different matter, and I see everyones point!
But, you posted only roads with no gates and no signs so don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong.
