Scotty, if you wanted to create a rally that would most directly impact the American Advrider F5 group, you couldn't have done a better job. I'm going to be glued to this race this year via advrider, but my goal is to come watch it in person next year.

Hey Dread, Can't take credit for that bike, all respect goes to Baja Dad! Unless of course his name it Scotty too, then disregard this post.

I will be posting pics of some of the bikes I have built and have had the pleasure of working on soon

Scott, Dread is talking about Scotty Breauxman organizing the Baja Rally which this thread is all about.
Perhaps you think your posting in the bivoac thread?

Thanks Mike, This is why I stay away from forums and stick to bike building. At least the bikes don't see or hear when I stick my foot in my mouth!

I feel this event is made for smaller(450)
Bikes.the 690 is built for speed.
If you look at the start time and Projected finish
Time I feel it will Be A slower pace with about a
25-35 mph avg,

This looks like a cool setup. I know there are a few long threads in regards to the sweet rally kits currently being made but what does a setup like this typically cost? The light tower attaches via the top clamp correct? You can PM me if it's more appropriate.

Lets see some more build pics!

It bolts to the upper and lower triple. The upper mount is incorporated into the scotts sub mount. I added a top clamp with all sorts of mounting holes for switches etc and his bomber hand guards. The cost just depends on what options and what light setup you want. Its lightweight and really well designed. I wanted something that could be taken off or put on easily since this is my all around bike. A few bolts, off it comes, put you number plate on and no more rally gear.

+1 and Fixed

This is really amazing, and I hope is really going to help kick start a new movement in the US.
