Regarding sensor cables (indeed, all nav cables) we have a tech tip for this (courtesy of ICO) on the RMS support page.

Don't bend, kink, or zip-tie tightly.

I got my head and cylinder back yesterday and now have a running bike. Now back to where I was when I decided to rebuild the top end... installing all the nav stuff.

So much for practicing reading a road book before the rally. :( I'll be lucky to get the bike ready and my shit packed before I load up into pilo's rig and head south.

Hah! I just took off my rear wheel and cleaned it up prior to mounting a new tire. Cracked!
Getting one shipped in from Woodys', so I will be mounting wheels and tires the night before I leave
So much for a shake down ride on any length.

We are getting close. I almost have it all together, just a few more things to sort out. I went out and did a little testing today. A few more mechanical tweaks and will give it a final on Monday.

Art,

It's completely personal preference, but I'd recommend rotating the RMS universal clamps forward so that they just touch the headlight mask. It's easier to read when it is most forward.

My $0.02.

Did a short shakedown ride this morning. And it was short. Made it five miles before one of the knobs on my f2r roadbook fell off and parts started bouncing around inside. I looked all over for it but finding a little black knob over five miles wasnt going to happen. Hopefully I can order one or rig something.
