It's no surprise Andy Grider is good at road book navigation, he did co-drive for RG at the Dakar after all. He's good at 2 wheels too. Good to see PAB putting in a strong run, he knows how to ride in Baja better than most.

Congrats to everyone on a really fun event. I'm so excited for there to be rally options that don't have mandatory ocean crossings!

Scotty did an awesome job with promotion and having the right people involved. The finish down the beach was absolutely perfect, and the vibe was great all weekend.

My own experience was mixed. I really enjoyed the riding, and felt like my pace was right on. I finished the first special in 2nd, 3 minutes off Quinn, and got the same result in the last stage, just a few minutes behind Gerardo on adjusted time.

In the middle test, everything was working alright until a particular point in the wash where I just could not make heads or tails of the roadbook. I let myself get frustrated and lost hours trying to figure it out... eventually I ran back up the course to the photographer to rezero mileage and he said it was almost 3 hours since I had last been there.

What-ifs and coulda-beens are cheap and plentiful in racing, so oh well. I was really pleased with the bike and my riding, and it was great to spend some time with everyone there.

Can't wait to see the heli footage, pretty fun to rip along a trail with that thing 20' away...

Looking at the numbers Ned, had you not made that mistake, you had a solid third lined up.

And if your aunt had balls, she'd be your uncle.

Next time... it's yours.

QC lost his motor 10m before the finish D2. Anna was at RM97.xx when I stopped to check on her. She eventually got a bike to swap bodywork and finish the race.

Rider's meeting the evening before the race. Quite an impressive crowd:

Anna Cody, day one:

Poor little camp monkey...

"Chase crew" making fun of racers that stopped and waited at the red light!

Philo having bike issues early on:

Philo had to hand scroll his road book the rest of the race:

Ok, I know it's a RACE but it's also Baja and one can never be in too much of a hurry to pass up a fresh fish taco...isn't that right Frog?

This guy had a great time!

This guy said he wished the stages were more miles...what's wrong with him?

Sportsmanship at its finest:

Lots of other cool stuff to see...boats out at the "Ship wreck" site:

The "Anna Cody Paparazzi":

Hats off to all the people that worked so hard to put this together. And a huge salute to all the racers...and I must say...NED: you are a GIANT CLASS ACT!!!

Another fun Baja trip! For my husband and I a Baja first: Nothing broken, no one injured, no 12 hour days ending in an unplanned bivi, and we only ran out of gas once. Fantastic!!!

Quinn doesn't ride for KTM. He was set to ride for Speed Brain HUSKY for 2013, at the end of 2012 he broke his Femur and wasn't able to race the Dakar. HUSKY dropped speed brain so his "Speed Brain Husky" contract didn't exist anymore.

This year he is a free agent and working on getting things rolling again for 2014 after having, and I quote, "one of the worst seasons of my life" in 2012 breaking his collar bone while running 6th at Dakar and his femur running 2nd in Baja.

The Bike that he was riding was borrowed from JCR, which its last event was with Johnny Campbell racing the Last Dog Standing.

Anna's 250f was just beat in the dunes.

- that's the questions answered. I forgot about the Speedbrain bit in the middle - watch this space then.
