A road not too foar from CDA tonight BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Sorry JoeEMT, I didn't mean to hijack this thread...

I grew up in WI, so I'm no stranger to long cold winters. I do like the idea of getting back into sleds again - I sold all of mine when I moved to CO - I really do miss it.

So, what does the riding season look like there for both bikes and sleds? Bikes here are pretty much year round if you are willing to drive an hour or two, but the higher mountain trails (+8,500') near my house melt out in late March and usually stay open until Oct/Nov. Ski season is usually Thanksgiving until April.

Anyone care to show me some singletrack goodness if I make it out there for a bit this summer to check things out?

Thanks!

I never ride much around Canfield. But it is where I jump into the mtns from. It's 5mins from my house and then I can access hundreds of miles of trails.

I miss the cda area so much now that I am down at school in Boise. I loved that from my house, I could do 4 hours trips on my XR and be out in BFE. And then make it back into town in time for work. I will say that the winters can be long, but I havnt seen anywhere in the PNW that I would rather live. I might consider moving to a smaller town like Sandpoint since cda is getting big, but I still love it.
