Amazing videos

I have watched all of the videos, and it was just pure entertainment for me. Oisin, your commentary and humour bring the videos to life.

Living in Calgary, I don't take the beautiful mountains for granted. I ride my motorcycle up into the mountains as often as I can.

Yes, you should plan to retire in Alberta.

Family and I were taking the wife out for mothers day lunch yesterday and she points to the bumper sticker on car in front of us; "Not dead yet". We all laughed.

Your famous O.

Hi Oisin! The weather is foul here, so I'm re watching your vids while the rain pours down and the wind howls! The music is great! Who are the bands? Have you deleted your vids from 'the other site'?

Charlie.

Thanks Oisin

I sent the Big Fella, Oisin, a link to my motorcycle video.

Here are his thoughts:-

So true. I'm sitting at work in Banff Alberta this second, and the Beauty of the surroundings are like, whatever. People come from all over the planet and drool at this place, much like we did in Glacier National Park. It's just what your used to I guess.

Oisin..what was the longest wait at a border crossing...I haven't ridden my GS to Canada(from Pa)...because the border wait can be several hours(longest wait was right after 9/11 and we waited about 4 hours.

Wow, that blows. I recently went to Quebec, crossed on I91 near Derby, VT. I've waited at stop signs longer than it took to cross the boarder. Entry back into the US was equally uneventful. Maybe it helps that I'm a 50+ & obviously American

I have 3 choices -Buffallo/Niagara/Lewiston...avg crossing time appx 1-2 hrs...depends on time of day/time of week/red alert etc...don't drink a lot of coffee b4 you hit the border...still might try it on the GS this summer.

Heh, been crossing Lewiston my whole life going from Michigan to Tonawanda. It's so hit and miss. I came through there earlier this week on the way there both bridges, no wait at all. On the way back both Lewiston and Port Huron were a bastard.

Hi, can anyone tell me where I can buy a copy of Not Dead Yet (book)? I'm leaving on a motorcycle holiday in a few weeks and figured it would be an excellent read...

I purchased both 'Not Dead Yet' and ' . . . Roaming' at lulu.com (self publishers).

Both books are great reads, very entertaining, highly recommended.

In one of the books (can't remember which one now) Oisin descibes getting a severe case of the trots on a moutain roadside in Colombia (from memory) and after hanging his backside out over the railing on the side of a busy road looks around for something to wipe his arse and ends up using his socks . . . had me in stiches and now strangely a scene I replay in my head whenever I am on the road looking for a bog house/location comforted by the fact that things hadn't got that bad for me yet.
