Giant Loop or KTM

Morning, need a tank bag for my 990R Adv, looking at either the KTM or Giant Loop models, need it to carry day stuff, wallet, SLR camera and spare lense, iPad mini in top pocket for nav and music etc. Opinions, alternatives, experiences all welcome.

Also photos or either mounted on an R much appreciated.

Giant Loop

I really rate the Giant Loop Fandango tankbag, big enough to carry all the stuff you need to hand, small enough not to interfere with your family jewels when standing

I like the Great Basin bag too

You have to LOVE this forum........no matter how obscure, someone will have a 'photo of EXACTLY what you need.

Much appreciated, mines sitting in the garage with 1 mile on it waiting for the weather to warm up.

GL bags and KTM

I have used my Coyote on my 450MXC and my 990R here in Cambodia. THe bags have taken a beating. LOTS of rain and mud, crashes and abuse. Still fully functional. THe zipper is still in great shape. I keep it cleaned and lubed as per GL advice.

I also have a set of Gobi/KTM panniers with frames that I use on the highway when I am traveling with my bride. Different equipment for different purposes. I advise sorting out your functional needs and let that determine what equipment you put on your KTM.

Enduristan

I have the Enduristan top bag. Three weeks driving in pouring rain, not a single drop got in there. Great quality!

If you want the best (imho) and are prepared to pay for it. Enduristan Sandstorm V2.

Rugged and fully waterproof - no cover required.
Rokstrap attachment for solid mounting and quick clip on and off. No bag base left on bike.
A4 size map pocket - heavy duty velcro on/off
Expandable from 14 - 20 litres - takes a full face helmet if needs be.
2 x exterior quick access pockets
Hard sided so maintains shape when empty
Removable velcro on/off interior document pocket

9000 miles in on mine some of them in torrential rain. Never leaked a drop and still looks like new.

I am not at all interested in how stuff looks, just how it performs. Same applies to the Shoei Hornet helmet I just bought

Giant Loop all the way

As stated it doesn't interfere when standing. Stays dry.
