I have both, prefer the KTM tank bag due in large part to the side pockets. I ordered three Wolfman side pouches and had a shoe shop sew them on sides and rear of the Giant loop.

Difference in practicality between Fandango and Diablo ? Other than size, I need it to be able to take a days worth of kit, wallet slr camera and spare lense passport ipad etc. not sire if Fandango too large?

Might be because I have a huge package, but I can't stand up easily with the KTM bag.

I use the GL- still interferes, but is an acceptable compromise.

I had the KTM tank bag and it is BIG! I'm 6'0" tall with a 34" inseam and the bag interfered with me when standing. I sold it to an inmate and bought the Giant Loop Diablo bag. Love it. Just the right size to hold important items.

The photo posted above is the Diablo then? Also, curios, the map on the wall in the back ground, where is that?

The GL bag pictured above is the Diablo. The Fandango is the same harness and foot print, just an extra 1.5" taller.

The map is from when I raced the Baja1000 back in 2010.

this is a timely thread, the KTM bag came with my 950 but it interferes with me standing. I love GL products so it looks like I'll be ordering a Diablo from them.

Also photos or either mounted on an R much appreciated.

I have a Giant Loop Fandango tankbag one my 990. I would put my iPhone in the top pocket and on a sunny day it would over heat and shut down. Even if the temperature was in the 70's (21c). And that was just playing music. If you run the display (GPS app) with charger I bet it would shut down quicker. If I put it inside the bag it would play all day even into the 90's.

I thought to try some white card stock inside the top pocket so it wasn't all black to atract the sun but never got a round to it.

And iPad Mini would be cool for with a GPS app, I use Motion X on the iPhone if it would work. I might be getting an iPad from work and am going to see if I can get the mini just for use on the bike.

Won't fit. I'm looking at attaching the mini (in a case of some sort) to the top of it with some sort of fastening system, but it will not fit in the map pocket.

And my iPhone overheats in that pocket as well.

Sorry- I was wrong.

It WILL fit- takes a bit of a cram, but it will fit- I just went out and tried it.

However- it will not fit with much protection, nor will it work if overheated, not will it fit with the power cable attached unless one cuts a little hole or something.

Sorry about the earlier post- my mistake.

+1 GL Fandango

I move a GL Fandango between my 950, 450 EXC, and Buell Uly. It holds basic tools, tubes, decent safety kit, phone, map, wallet, headlamp, carry gun (or not depending on where I'm headed), dry polyester t-shirt, and clean socks.
