KTM 990 950 Adventure carbon windscreen windshield
Hey,
I like the KTM Rally Replica look, so I am playing a bit during the winter time. I wanted to produce a carbon windschield that will have better wind protection and look way more cool than the original one :-) How it evolves: I started with some clay modeling fist... it is approx. 2cm lower than the original but more steep so the protection will be better and the behing the shield the space e.g. for navigation stuff will be created... ![]() Than 3D scanning and 3D modeling: ![]() And here is the result.... What do you think? :-) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The windprotection is significantly better - 185cm tall rider and motocross helmet Airoh Stelt...

Seriously Nice Rade,
How is the space between the cockpit and the screen now? Since the screen seems to be further away then the original. Is there a big gap? Thanks, Marc

Very slick. You might try rolled lengths of Black Tack to plug the gap ? Black re-usable adhesive putty - as its name suggests like blue tack but much stronger.

Dang.. Love the mad composite skills..
Ya know,, never able to leave well enough alone... What if you added blisters on each side of the main headlight ot contain a LED Driving light... and integrated turn signals.. ![]() Looks great.. Dave |

I am thinking the gap may reduce buffetting/turbulence by allowing a little airflow behind the screen, allowing for the same air pressure. Correct me if I'm wrong on my train of thought

I'm with you a little airflow through the bottom of the screen should help. I'd leave it alone.
